Capital School Bahrain is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Head of Mathematics to lead and enhance our Mathematics curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4, playing a crucial role in the preparation for A-Level Mathematics set to launch in September 2026.

The Role
The Head of Mathematics will:

• Deliver both strategic and operational leadership for the Mathematics department
• Oversee curriculum design, sequencing, and assessments from KS3 to KS5
• Promote enhancements in teaching and learning through coaching, monitoring, and support
• Effectively utilize assessment data to improve student attainment and progress
• Prepare the department for the successful implementation of IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics
• Manage Mathematics staff and support their professional development
• Contribute to the school's broader improvement objectives and leadership initiatives

Person Specification
Essential

• Qualified teacher status
• Comprehensive knowledge of Mathematics
• Previous experience as a Head of Mathematics or Deputy Head of Mathematics
• Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and IGCSE Mathematics
• Demonstrated history of raising standards through effective leadership and teaching
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities

Desirable

• Experience or involvement in A-Level Mathematics delivery or planning
• Background in an international or British overseas school
• A commitment to innovation, inclusive practices, and continuous improvement
