Az-Zahraa Islamic Academy is seeking committed individuals for the role of Full-time Elementary Teacher (KG – Gr. 3). Situated in a supportive setting, Az-Zahraa Islamic Academy (AZIA) is an independent institution catering to students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 7. Our school is rooted in the principles and teachings of the Islamic faith, while offering a comprehensive educational program that aligns with British Columbia's redesigned curriculum.

• BC Professional Teacher Certification from the BC Teacher Regulation Office
• Strong understanding of pedagogy, incorporating instructional strategies, literacy/numeracy teaching theories, and child development
• Awareness of contemporary curriculum trends, especially in early reading and numeracy
• Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities
• A collaborative approach to work effectively within a dynamic team
• Experience with ESL or students who may face challenges is beneficial
• Familiarity with Islamic teachings is an advantage.
