Raffles American School (RAS) is seeking a passionate and creative Middle School ELL Teacher to join our team for the academic year 2026.
Position Overview
Raffles American School Bangkok is looking for a dedicated and student-centered Middle School ELL Teacher to support students in improving their academic English skills. The successful candidate will offer targeted English language instruction and work in close collaboration with classroom teachers to ensure that multilingual students can fully participate in the curriculum.
This role focuses on small-group instruction, language development, and teamwork with subject teachers to help students build confidence and proficiency in academic English.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized English language instruction to middle school ELL students
- Create and execute lessons designed to improve reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Assist students in accessing academic content across different subjects
- Evaluate and track student language growth and progress
- Collaborate with classroom and subject teachers to support multilingual learners
- Keep parents and colleagues informed about student progress
- Engage actively in the wider school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Applied Linguistics, English, or a related field
- Preferred teaching qualification or certification
- Experience working with English language learners in an international or multilingual setting is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for varying levels of English proficiency

We offer competitive salaries for fully qualified and licensed teachers in full-time core subject and homeroom teaching roles. Please be aware that there is no additional housing allowance. International candidates will have their flight to Thailand reimbursed (specifics will be provided by HR to the selected candidate) and will receive round-trip airfare to their home country at the end of each two-year contract. RAS will also cover visa and work permit expenses. Comprehensive medical, accident, disability, and life insurance are included.
