About This Role
Se-Se-Wa-Hum School in Big River First Nation is seeking a passionate and innovative Div. IV Teacher for Chief John Keenatch High School to join their dedicated team for the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans across a variety of subjects.
• Evaluate and grade students' understanding and performance in the curriculum.
• Communicate with students and parents through meetings to discuss educational matters.
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages student growth.
• Create lesson plans and instructional methods that align with school guidelines.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Design a stimulating educational setting that accommodates individual student needs.
• Plan and execute a range of activities including quizzes, competitions, and group discussions to enhance instructional delivery.
• Effectively manage classroom behavior and activities.
Qualifications:
• Exceptional scheduling abilities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• A Bachelor of Education degree and a valid Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate.
• Proficient classroom management skills.
• Ability to teach students with diverse skill levels.
• Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Curriculum is essential.
• Experience in cross-cultural settings is a plus.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Capability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, along with a Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Must be able to provide verification of previous teaching experience if applicable.
