We are seeking an outstanding Deputy Head of Secondary to join our ambitious and dynamic leadership team. The successful candidate will lead learning initiatives, support pastoral development, assist in the daily operations of the school, play a significant role in our strategic planning, and collaborate effectively with the Senior Leadership Team. For over 20 years, Doha Academy has been delivering exceptional education to families in Doha.

Key responsibilities for the Deputy Head of Secondary include:
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all students at the school.
- Supporting and executing the School’s Vision & Mission as well as the School Improvement Plan with clarity and commitment.
- Driving excellence in teaching and learning across all year groups, placing significant value on both students and staff, and focusing on team development.
- Demonstrating experience in leading and managing high-performing educational teams, ensuring accountability, and prioritizing remarkable learning experiences for all students while staying informed about current UK research-based pedagogical practices.
- Reviewing and enhancing the pastoral systems within the school to facilitate smooth transitions between educational phases.
- Collaborating with the senior and middle leadership teams to inclusively and effectively implement change, providing strong curriculum leadership while ensuring a commitment to academic progress and student well-being.
- Developing assessment strategies to guarantee that every student achieves excellent levels of progress, reflected in robust internal data and internationally benchmarked assessments.
- Fostering a culture of collaborative and progressive learning that is highly valued among both staff and students, demonstrating excellent communication skills and strong emotional intelligence.

Applicants must possess:
Essential: PGCE or B.Ed. and QTS
Preferable: 2-3 years of experience in senior leadership
