We are seeking a Model United Nations (MUN) coach to become a part of our Senior School MUN team (Grades 8-12). In this position, you will work closely with teacher sponsors and student leaders to develop a program that deepens students' understanding of global issues and promotes their involvement in MUN competitions.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead practices for MUN and Ethics Bowl club participants on Tuesdays after school from January 2026 to June 2026.
- Supervise students at MUN conference(s) as necessary.
- Attend and support students during MUN and Ethics Bowl competitions as required.
- Work in partnership with teacher sponsors and club leaders to promote, plan, and implement a MUN program designed for both new and returning members.
- Provide additional resources, training, and direction to students as they get ready for various MUN conferences.
- Cultivate and enhance the leadership abilities of the MUN student club captains.
- Engage in planning meetings with the MUN teacher sponsors and club leaders to evaluate progress and strategize future initiatives.
- Maintain open communication with teacher sponsors and school administration.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
- Participate in school-led training sessions such as: Respect in the Workplace and Safeguarding.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience:
- 1 - 3 years of experience coaching Model United Nations and/or Ethics Bowl.
- Familiarity with the procedures and formats of local High School MUN conferences.
- Strong understanding of the various learning styles of girls and young women.
- Dedication to maintaining professional practice standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
