Aldar Academies is on the lookout for a remarkable Teacher - MFL to join Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in August 2026. Key Task:

To conduct inspiring lessons that motivate students to excel and achieve optimal outcomes.

Roles and responsibilities include:

Teamwork and collaboration

- Communicate effectively across all levels.
- Foster positive relationships with everyone in the school community.
- Collaborate with other teachers to design engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards.
- Coordinate with colleagues and demonstrate flexibility in collaboration.
- Engage with parents to ensure the well-being and academic success of every child.
- Work in conjunction with curriculum support staff (as applicable) to promote children's development.

Specific Duties

Teaching and learning:

- Have a solid understanding of the Curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and learning materials, and create displays that promote a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that address the diverse needs of all students in the class.
- Inspire students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
- Observe and assess students in line with school assessment practices.
- Reflect on classroom experiences, the effectiveness of taught sessions, and student progress, making necessary adjustments to the learning environment, planning, and curriculum.
- Collaborate with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when necessary.
- Ensure the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA principles are integrated throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and data:

- Take responsibility for a class's academic progress.
- Adhere to requirements for assessing and documenting students' development using Target Tracker.
- Utilize assessment data to inform subsequent planning and interventions.
- Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behaviour management and duties:

- Implement the school’s behaviour policy.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, employing strategies that cater to students’ individual needs to inspire and motivate them.
- Build positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and making decisive actions as needed in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.
- Model the positive attitudes, values, and behaviour expected of students.
- Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, encouraging self-control and independence among all learners.
- Fulfill assigned duties as directed and in alignment with the school’s policy.

Wider professional responsibilities:

- Participate in a curriculum action group, contributing to planning, assessment, resources, and special events associated with that team.
- Support and participate in school events, outings, and activities, which may occur on weekends or evenings.
- Effectively communicate with parents/guardians regarding students' achievements and well-being, utilizing school systems and processes such as CPOMS as appropriate.
- Make a positive impact on the broader life and ethos of the school.
- Lead a weekly extracurricular activity each term.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
