Mamoura British Academy offers a British curriculum and operates as a mixed-gender institution up to Year 8, transitioning to a girls-only school from Year 9 onwards. Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate and work effectively within a team.

- Collaborate with fellow educators to design engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum.

Teaching and Learning:
- Exhibit a solid understanding of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and create displays that foster an engaging learning environment.
- Plan, prepare, and present lessons that address the needs of all students.
- Inspire pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
- Observe and assess students in accordance with school assessment protocols.
- Reflect on classroom practices, lessons delivered, and student progress, adjusting plans and resources as necessary.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists or educational psychologists, when needed.
- Integrate the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA into the curriculum.

Assessment and Data:
- Take ownership of class progress.
- Adhere to assessment requirements and document student development using Target Tracker.
- Utilize assessment data to inform future planning and interventions.
- Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behavior Management and Duties:
- Follow the school’s behavior policy.
- Manage classrooms effectively, employing strategies that cater to students' diverse needs to inspire and challenge them.
- Build positive relationships with students, exercise appropriate authority, and take decisive action when required within the behavioral framework.
- Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
- Maintain high standards for behavior, promoting self-control and independence among learners.
- Perform duties as directed in line with school policies.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:
- Participate in a curriculum action group, contributing to planning, assessment, and resource development for special events.
- Assist in organizing and participating in school activities, outings, and events that may occur on weekends or evenings.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and well-being using school systems like CPOMS where appropriate.
- Contribute positively to the broader life and ethos of the school.
- Lead a weekly extracurricular activity each term.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject along with a PGCE or other recognized teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience.

Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
- A strong passion for teaching and a commitment to holistic child development.
- A high level of professionalism and a focus on child well-being.
- Recent, consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all individuals within the school community, regardless of position, gender, age, or ethnicity.
- A positive, solution-oriented approach to work.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
