About This Role

Bloom World Academy, situated in the heart of Dubai within a cutting-edge new campus, is looking to recruit an IB DP Librarian/Individuals and Societies Teacher for an August 2026 start date.

Established in August 2022, Bloom World Academy serves students aged three to 18 years. The school has achieved significant success by challenging traditional norms and innovating for the advantage of learners, families, and educators in Dubai.

Every facet of education at Bloom World Academy has been thoughtfully designed—examining our methodologies, motivations, and their impacts. This deliberate approach has resulted in several pioneering initiatives for the UAE. BWA is the first school in the nation to commence classes at 9 am, allow families to customize their own timetables (learning pathways), and implement a Learning Achievement Passport (LAP) for every student, which shares performance and progress updates with families monthly.

Above all, BWA prioritizes family engagement—encouraging parents to be active participants within the school, working from our community café, attending workshops, and taking part in our weekly celebratory community forum.

Our successful approach has surpassed expectations, prompting the need to hire a considerable number of innovative and committed educators—professionals eager to contribute their expertise in a progressive and creative environment that values the art of teaching.

Position Overview: DP Librarian

Bloom World Academy is in search of an exceptional IB DP Librarian/Individuals and Societies Teacher. We are seeking a creative expert who thrives in the classroom and is eager to lead and advocate for our library spaces.

The librarian will be responsible for providing educational and pedagogical leadership, engaging in collaborative projects with both teachers and students, and overseeing the management and development of the library. You should be able to teach students across a range of abilities, possess a proven history of achieving exceptional student outcomes, and have the capacity to positively influence the teaching practices of your peers.

In your role as DP Librarian, you will be instrumental in creating a vibrant learning atmosphere within our International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This position merges traditional librarian duties with a focus on facilitating IB curriculum integration, enhancing information literacy, and fostering research skills development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature, a solid grasp of the IB framework, and the capability to instill a love for reading and inquiry-based learning in students.

While experience with the IB program is preferred, it is not mandatory as training will be provided.

Community at BWA

Teachers at BWA are part of a cohesive, vibrant community. Staff members forge genuine friendships with colleagues, enjoy positive relationships with school leadership that prioritizes their well-being, and function as a unified team. BWA educators are adaptable, problem-solvers who embrace the challenges of contributing to a new school. At BWA, teachers are encouraged to maintain a positive disposition and build constructive relationships with families. All staff are invited to be creative and take part in or lead community events.
