Permanent, Full time, 1 FTE

Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 (MPS/UPS)

Start date - 1st September 2026

At Insignis Academy Trust we are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspirational Specialist SEND Teacher capable of teaching a range of subjects including of English & Humanities for The Kingsbrook School Inclusion Unit. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the growing Inclusion Unit in this flagship new school in Aylesbury, with opportunity to bring ideas and contribute to the continued development of the curriculum, culture and ethos of the Inclusion Unit and the wider school at it enters it’s fifth year of operation in 2026-27.


Opened in September 2022 to 180 year 7 students, the school will grow by each year of entry until full in 2027-28, and so new members of the team are required to support our next cohort. Located at the heart of the Kingsbrook Estate in Aylesbury, the school boasts state of the art facilities across the mainstream school and a purpose-built Inclusion Unit for children with additional Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

You will need to have strong subject knowledge, extensive experience of teaching students with high and varied SEND needs, particularly SEMH, and the ability to significantly adapt the taught curriculum to respond to the needs of learners as they change across the school day.

The Kingsbrook School requires all of its teachers to be well-qualified, enthusiastic professionals, who are eager and committed to supporting students’ education and personal development. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and time management skills, a commitment to character education and want to get actively involved with establishing an outstanding school.
