About This Role

Rugby School Dubai is seeking passionate and committed Teachers of PE and Games to join our dynamic educational community.

About Us

Rugby School Dubai (RSD) is set to open its doors to students in August 2026, marking a new era in Rugby School’s illustrious history—where British educational traditions align with the UAE’s ambitious aspirations. With a focus on the philosophy of “The Whole Person, The Whole Point,” we integrate rigorous academics with exceptional pastoral care to support students in their academic and personal growth. Through a rich assortment of activities in academics, sports, performing arts, music, leadership, service, and House life, we aim to empower every child to find their voice, expand their horizons, and lead with purpose.

Our institution is not just a school; it is a community where character development drives success and tradition shapes futures.

Situated in Dubai's Nad al Sheba area, we will serve students ranging from FS1 to Year 13 and are proud to be part of the Aldar Education group.

The Role

Rugby School Dubai is keen to recruit exceptional educators to instruct PE and Games within our Prep and Senior Schools.

The ideal applicant will:

  • Hold a relevant degree and a teaching qualification, preferably from a British institution.
  • Possess a minimum of two years of teaching experience within a British curriculum setting.
  • Have a PGCE or a comparable teaching qualification.
  • Prioritize student engagement in their pedagogical approaches.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Be willing to immerse themselves fully in school life, contributing to our pastoral and co-curricular initiatives.
  • Exhibit proficiency in at least one of the following sports: rugby, netball, cricket, and/or Prep School sports.
  • Have a robust understanding of PE, Games, and Sport in a high-performance context, ideally from the UK independent education sector.

Compensation

Our school is dedicated to attracting and retaining high-quality educators, providing a rewarding and enjoyable work environment. We offer professional development opportunities tailored to each staff member's needs and goals, ensuring that our students benefit from motivated educators who are up-to-date in their teaching practices.

In addition, we provide a highly competitive tax-free salary, which includes an accommodation allowance, medical insurance, an annual travel allowance, tuition for two dependents at RSD, and an end-of-service gratuity.

Application Process

The deadline for applications is Tuesday, 27th January at 12pm Gulf Standard Time. Early submissions are encouraged, as we may begin interviews shortly after we receive applications due to the expected interest in this role. The anticipated start date is August 2026.

Interested candidates should fill out the Schrole Connect Form and submit it along with a CV and a cover letter addressed to Mr. John Short Ring – Head of Senior School. Applications that do not include all required documents will not be considered.

Shortlisted candidates currently residing in the UAE will be invited for an on-campus interview, which will include a lesson demonstration. Candidates applying from overseas may be requested to submit a video of their teaching.
