The MAT trustees are looking to appoint a compassionate, creative and resilient Inclusion Base HLTA to join our new specialist provision, at Haymoor Junior School, supporting children aged 7-11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a nurturing, therapeutic learning environment where our children can feel safe, build trust, re engage with learning, and thrive.
11.25 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 1 pm to 3:15 pm
Term time only
Permanent
Grade F (Point 12 - 17) £28,598 - £31,022 per annum pro-rata,
(Actual Salary £7,220.70 - £7,832.74)

The TEACH Poole Multi Academy Trust was formed in April 2015. All four of our wonderful schools are graded as good or outstanding schools by Ofsted. We are extremely popular, over-subscribed, forward-thinking schools with supportive staff and fantastic children.
As an Inclusion Base HLTA, you will work each day to support the class teacher in leading the learning for a small group of KS2 pupils who require a highly personalised, consistent and trauma informed approach. You will support to create an environment built on strong routines, warmth and emotional safety.
Staff will be employed by the Trust as a whole, but the current vacancy is required at Haymoor Junior School, in the first instance.
If you:
Are suitably qualified with HLTA status or equivalent qualifications or higher
Has experience of teaching in the primary phase and a strong understanding of early childhood development.
Understands the impact of trauma, attachment and anxiety on learning and behaviour.
Is passionate about supporting pupils who require a specialist, nurturing approach within an internal Inclusion Base setting.
Can create highly differentiated, personalised learning experiences that make learning exciting and motivating.
Manages behaviour effectively using relational, trauma-informed and inclusive approaches.
Is patient, emotionally regulated and able to model calm, consistent behaviour.
Works well as part of a supportive, collaborative team and shares responsibility for planning and practice.
Brings resilience, creativity, enthusiasm and a positive, can-do attitude.
