We are currently in search of an outstanding early childhood educator to collaborate with teachers in our Junior Kindergarten program. As part of a cooperative teaching team, you will play a crucial role in nurturing the growth and development of young girls within the Crofton House School Early Childhood Education Centre. Our teaching and learning methodology is play-based and is further guided by principles of student-centeredness, collaboration, and inquiry, which deepens the learning experience for our young students.

Hours: 8:30-4:30 pm daily

Responsibilities:
● Collaborate effectively within a dynamic team of early childhood educators
● Deliver the Junior Kindergarten program utilizing a team-based approach
● Integrate a meaningful play-based curriculum
● Plan and execute engaging and interactive lessons
● Assist ECE students through a variety of play-based learning activities
● Seek opportunities for outdoor learning experiences
● Support students during daily physical education activities
● Enhance the educational experience for diverse learners
● Provide small group and individual instruction to support student learning
● Assist students during non-instructional times (transitions, lunchtime, outdoor play)
● Document and assess the progress of young learners
● Build strong relationships with parents
● Support the after-school care program
● Participate in a comprehensive co-curricular program as required
● Collaborate with a team of committed professionals who embody the school values of courage, creativity, and citizenship

Qualifications:
● Early Childhood Educator Diploma or degree
● Proven experience as an early childhood educator
● Strong understanding of the role of play in fostering young learners' growth
● Experience utilizing outdoor settings as effective learning environments
● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others
● Creative, flexible, and patient mindset
● Excellent communication skills
● Strong commitment to the care and safety of young children
● Dedication to integrating school routines and learning within a childcare context
● Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
