Position: Early Years Teacher
Location: Berens River School

FTE: 1.00 FTE
Term of Employment: Term to June 30, 2026

Berens River School caters to students from Nursery through Grade 9, with an enrollment of around 400 learners. This vibrant community of approximately 3,546 residents is located on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, about a four-hour drive north of Winnipeg. The picturesque town provides essential services such as a general store, a Northern store, and a community hall. The stunning surrounding landscape offers a recreational haven, ideal for various outdoor pursuits, including fishing, hiking, and canoeing.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Education Degree and a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility)
• Strong understanding of provincial Early Years curricula
• Prior experience in Early Years teaching
• Proficient with school-based technology
• Familiarity with Indigenous Way of Life
• Experience in incorporating Indigenous culture and land-based education into the curriculum
• Effective classroom management abilities
• Experience supporting students with diverse needs
• Commitment to differentiated instruction
• Openness to exploring best practices and engaging in self-reflection
• A collaborative team player who believes in the potential of all students
• Self-driven and motivated
