St. George’s School is in search of a seasoned professional to enhance the academic framework within the Primary School, with a start date in August 2026.

For nearly four decades, St. George’s School has been dedicated to serving the international community in Cologne, blending a rich curriculum with a family-focused environment. From its modest origins, the school has flourished into a vibrant community of about 800 students, aged 2-18, representing over 50 nationalities.
The National Curriculum is implemented throughout the institution, and we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth form.
As part of a network of three schools across Germany, St. George’s provides the successful candidate with a variety of professional development and advancement opportunities within the school group.

Situated in a newly established campus on the outskirts of Cologne, St. George’s School benefits from direct transport links to the city center and the wider Cologne-Bonn area.

The Role
We are eager to appoint a qualified Head of Teaching & Learning. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive and innovative professional who can uphold the highest standards in teaching and learning.
Proficiency in English and a solid understanding of the English National Curriculum are essential. A strong commitment to participating in the department’s vibrant extra-curricular activities is also advantageous.
Due to the evolving nature of the school, adaptability and a willingness to support fellow team members are crucial. Additionally, a keen interest in contributing to the school’s pastoral and extra-curricular offerings will be beneficial.
