Aldar Academies is actively looking for an exceptional Teacher - Primary (Maternity Cover) to join Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in April 2026.
Mamoura British Academy offers a British curriculum, serving a mixed-gender population up to Year 8 and transitioning to a girls-only format from Year 9 onward. Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning:
- Have a solid grasp of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and create displays that foster a positive, engaging learning atmosphere.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that accommodate diverse learning needs within the class.
- Inspire students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods.
- Assess and observe students in accordance with school assessment standards.
- Reflect on classroom practices, adapting the learning environment, planning, and curriculum as needed.
- Collaborate with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists as required.
- Integrate the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum.
Assessment and Data:
- Take accountability for the advancement of a class.
- Meet assessment and recording requirements for tracking students’ progress using Target Tracker.
- Utilize assessment data to inform future planning, provision, and interventions.
- Provide updates to parents and carers regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
Behavior Management and Duties:
- Adhere to the school's behavior policy.
- Manage classes effectively, employing strategies tailored to students' needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge them.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and taking decisive action when necessary within the behavioral policy framework.
- Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
- Hold high expectations for student behavior, promoting self-control and independence.
- Execute duties as assigned in accordance with school policy.
Wider Professional Responsibilities:
- Participate in a curriculum action group, assisting with planning, assessment, resource management, and special events related to that group.
- Support the organization and participation in school events, outings, and activities that may occur on weekends or evenings.
- Effectively communicate with parents/carers about student achievements and well-being using school processes such as CPOMS, as appropriate.
- Contribute positively to the broader life and ethos of the school.
- Facilitate a weekly ECA each term.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject area with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 1 to 2 years of teaching experience.
