Job Description

Him Lam International School Bac Ninh is seeking a dedicated Kindergarten teacher with a proven history of successfully teaching Kindergarten students, particularly in English as a Second/Additional Language. The Homeroom teacher will be accountable for instructing the core subjects for Kindergarten.

This role aims to enhance student learning outcomes by applying effective teaching and learning strategies within the framework of the school's Mission, Vision, Core Values, Learning Principles, Learner Sphere, Culture, and relevant national and international programs.

To thrive as a Kindergarten teacher, the applicant must have qualifications in Early Years Education, preferably with an IEYC curriculum background. A friendly and approachable demeanor is essential to foster a positive learning atmosphere. The ideal Kindergarten teacher should engage students through enjoyable and meaningful activities, establishing a supportive environment for learning.

I. Responsibilities
● Develop, plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of all students according to the early years curriculum of the school.
● Motivate mixed-culture and ability classes by creating stimulating and engaging learning experiences for every student.
● Evaluate and track student progress, setting targets to ensure all learners can achieve success and grow.
● Monitor and assess student well-being as both a subject and homeroom teacher, promoting their personal and social growth.
● Work collaboratively with fellow teachers to exchange innovative ideas, methods, and professional insights.
● Regularly coordinate with SEN and EAL teams to ensure a comprehensive approach is adopted for students with diverse developmental needs.
● Maintain professional and accurate communication with parents, keeping them informed about their children’s progress and status. Update parent communication platforms as per the year's beginning requirements and add additional details as needed.
● Collaborate with the Head of the International IEYC Programme to ensure effective curriculum delivery in designated classes, including resource selection and efficient management within the classroom.
● Participate in extracurricular activities and engage in school events such as Open Day, Admissions Day, After School Activities, PD Day, or PTC Day.
● Stay attuned to the needs of children for whom English is an additional language.
● Adapt lesson plans to ensure differentiation for students with additional needs.
● Engage in curriculum development, homeroom activities, extracurricular programs, and other developmental initiatives.
● Oversee assigned out-of-classroom activities during the school day as needed.
● Foster positive relationships and communication with fellow staff members.
● Ensure effective use of resources, materials, and equipment.
● Carry out other tasks as assigned by the Head of the International IEYC Programme or the School Director.

II. Requirements
1. Education
● A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (a Postgraduate Degree in Education or a related teaching subject is preferred).
● A recognized teaching certificate/license in the subject area.
2. Experience
● A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.
● Experience in international or bilingual schools is highly preferred.
● Knowledge of curriculum development.
3. Skills & Knowledge
● Native-level proficiency in English.
● Proficiency in a second language, such as Vietnamese, Korean, or Chinese, is desirable.
● Creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching diverse learners from various cultural backgrounds, languages, abilities, interests, and personalities.
● Capability to effectively utilize technology in teaching and learning, including online learning management systems, online collaboration tools, or online assessment tools.

Compensation

₫45,000,000 - ₫70,000,000 per month (The housing allowance will be provided)
