About This Role

Job Detail

We are seeking a Teacher of Science, preferably with a specialism in Chemistry, to join our highly effective Science Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a committed group of teachers who place students at the heart of learning.

The Role

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning science.

  • Be able to teach all sciences at KS3 and KS4.

  • Have experience teaching Chemistry at GCSE.

  • Have experience teaching A Level Chemistry, or a willingness to do so (desirable).

  • Make effective use of practical work, demonstrations, and a range of creative teaching approaches to engage and challenge students.

  • Show a commitment to staying up to date with current scientific developments and making effective use of technology and digital tools to enhance learning in the science classroom.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the science curriculum and departmental resources.

  • Deliver high-quality teaching with strong pastoral awareness.

  • Use data effectively to support student progress.

  • Hold a recognised science degree and an appropriate teaching qualification.

  • Be committed to professional development and ongoing improvement.
