Job Overview

Role Introduction
We are looking for committed and highly qualified educators to teach Science, covering lower secondary (Year 7) to IGCSE, and possibly A level, at our school in Koh Samui. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your teaching abilities while enjoying life on one of Thailand's most famous islands, all within a results-driven educational framework. A focus on Physics is highly desirable.

Main Duties
- Participate actively in various school initiatives, including enrichment activities, developing effective teaching strategies and curriculum, offering support to individuals or groups of students, managing internal assessments, and engaging in outreach programs.
- Instruct students of different ages and skill levels, presenting challenges for advanced learners while providing assistance to those who may face difficulties with the subject matter.
- Consistently strive to improve your professional practice and work collaboratively with our leadership team on development opportunities.
- Comply with the school’s policies regarding assessment and reporting, adhere to the teacher’s manual, and attend parent meetings as required.
- Contribute to the extracurricular dimensions of school life as agreed upon with the leadership team.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding all young individuals.
- Provide tutoring to various student groups, taking an active interest in their academic progress and overall well-being.
- Regularly support different initiatives related to educational development or pastoral care, building relationships with students and promoting a supportive school community.

You will be a reflective educator who:
- Holds an Education Degree or a degree with a recognized teaching qualification.
- Is enthusiastic about their subject area and can effectively convey the knowledge necessary to deliver engaging lessons to students at PBISS across all age groups and abilities.
- Aligns with PBISS's holistic educational vision and is eager to engage in the co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and can develop collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
