Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework.
  • Foster students’ musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for diverse musical traditions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to integrate music into broader learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate actively in school events, performances, and extracurricular activities related to music.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the primary/elementary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB PYP curriculum or willingness to learn it thoroughly.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with ability to engage young learners effectively.
  • Proficiency in various musical instruments and vocal techniques preferred.
  • Ability to design innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
