Primary Assistant Teacher
About This Role
The English International College Primary Department is looking for a teaching assistant who can inspire, motivate and support students, so that they are able to achieve their potential.
We are seeking to recruit an individual who can assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction of the SLT and class teachers. You should be confident to teach groups within the classroom and take an active role in weekly planning meetings. The successful candidate should also be able to ensure that the pupils they support are able to engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity, so that they can become independent learners, and should show and use initiative, taking a forward-thinking approach to all tasks.
We are looking for teaching assistants who hold a qualification and who have experience in supporting phonics groups, emergent writing and the use of CPA apparatus in Mathematics.
You must be willing to work as part of a team and to also carry out administrative duties in addition to support in the classroom.
The English International College is a British school for pupils aged from 3-18. We deliver a British curriculum, closely linked to the UK National Curriculum, though with some amendments appropriate to our international location and ethos. We have an excellent academic record and regularly send pupils to the top universities worldwide including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, etc. We are a centre for Cambridge International and Pearson Examinations.
