About This Role

We are looking for a community-focused Learning Support Co-ordinator to join our Eastside Team.


While Rotorua Lakes High School is the employing school, this position will work across Mokoia Intermediate and Rotokawa School.


You'll work closely with the LSCs from Rotorua Lakes and the other Eastside schools, Lynmore and Owhata.


We're looking for someone with an interest in building strong connections and smooth transitions for all our young people, from Year 1 to Year 13.


The Role


Full time, Permanent


Area / composite (Years 1–15), Certificated teacher


Subjects include:



  • English

  • Health and physical education

  • Learning languages

  • Mathematics and statistics

  • Science

  • Social sciences

  • Technology

  • Te reo Māori

  • The arts


Key Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with other Learning Support Coordinators.

  • Facilitate smooth transitions for students.

  • Build strong connections within the community.


Qualifications



  • Certificated teacher status.

  • Experience in a similar role is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
