Location: Mangatawhiri School, Waikato


The Role


Orere, Kaiaua, Mangatangi & Mangatawhiri Schools are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, NZ registered teacher to fulfil the role as an LSC working across the 4 schools and based at Mangatawhiri School.


The purpose of the Learning Support Coordinator role is to help children with diverse learning needs access the support and services they need.


The Learning Support Coordinator will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including staff, students, whānau, LSCs, SENCOs within our Cluster, and external agencies.


The successful applicant should be knowledgeable about and committed to inclusive practices and have demonstrated the ability to support the learning and progress of all learners as they transition in, through and out of schools.


To be considered for the role, the successful applicant must meet all the criteria of the LSC role description. Ideally, they should also have expertise, skills, or knowledge in some of the following areas: special education, curriculum Level 1, cultural perspectives on gifted and talented, and transition processes.


The position commences as soon as it can be negotiated.

Qualifications



  • NZ registered teacher.

  • Experience in special education.

  • Knowledge of curriculum Level 1.

  • Experience with transition processes.

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
