Head of Learning Support – Junior School

St Mary’s School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Learning Support to lead and organise our Learning Support programmes across the school. This fixed-term, part-time role will be pivotal in ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive tailored support to thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and organise comprehensive Learning Support programmes across all year groups.

• Maintain an accurate SEN register and provision map.

• Monitor teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of students with SEND.

• Support and guide Learning Support Assistants in delivering effective support.

• Assess and identify individual needs, producing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as required.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in SEND provision, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and external agencies. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every student achieve their potential.
