St Mark’s Church of England School is seeking to appoint a committed and talented Geography Subject Lead to join our dedicated team to lead the development of and actively shape our Geography Curriculum.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their very best and who aligns with our Christian values of Love, Service and Belonging.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious teacher to develop their practice and actively contribute to our evolving department.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
Be expected to plan and deliver lessons to the whole school to GCSE.
Make a major contribution to the school and development.
Teach and develop your chosen subject within the school in a professional way, ensuring the curriculum is progressive across the all through school.
Provide learning that will ensure all groups of pupils make good progress through adhering to the schools teaching and learning policy.

We are seeking someone who:
Has successful experience of subject leadership
Has Qualified Teacher Status
Understands high-quality teaching and learning strategies in the subject, and the ability to model this for others and support others to improve
Has expert knowledge of legislation and guidance on curriculum requirements
