Durham School for Girls Doha is seeking an outstanding and highly committed EYFS Teacher who is trained and qualified within the UK education system, with a secure understanding of the UK National Curriculum and EYFS statutory requirements.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching EYFS within a UK school setting, delivering the UK EYFS curriculum, and demonstrating strong knowledge of best practice in early years education. The purpose of the role is to ensure that all teaching staff at Durham School for Girls (DSGD) uphold the UK Teaching Standards (TS), while also aligning their practices with the school’s MARK values, policies, and the cultural expectations outlined by the Qatari Ministry of Education (MOE). This includes delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment, and fostering both academic and personal development. Staff are expected to maintain professional conduct, collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and actively contribute to the school community. Additionally, they must ensure that all teaching practices, curriculum plans, and resources are in line with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics. This role also encompasses the continuous professional development of staff, adherence to school policies, and supporting student well-being and high-performance learning (HPL) strategies. Ultimately, the role aims to create a positive, respectful, and effective learning environment that supports the growth of both students and educators.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learner needs.
Plan and implement curriculum content aligned with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics.
Use assessment effectively to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
Communicate regularly and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues to support learning.
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and relevant stakeholders on academic performance.
Support student wellbeing by fostering personal growth, resilience, and positive relationships.
Participate actively in professional development to continually enhance teaching practice.
Model the school’s MARK values in all interactions and serve as a positive ambassador for DSGD.
Use school communication platforms effectively to share information, resources, and updates.
Engage in school events, extracurricular activities, and community-building opportunities.
Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare policies to ensure student protection.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
Ensure all teaching materials, planning, and curriculum content reflect Qatari national values and MOE ethics.
