REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate or the ability to acquire one.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor of Education degree specializing in Early Years.
- Knowledge of Indigenous Perspectives.
- Strong teamwork skills and the capability to work collaboratively with others.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with effective practices in curriculum design, teaching methods, and assessment strategies.
- Exceptional organizational skills and classroom management abilities.
- Proficient in engaging with colleagues, students, parents, and external organizations, with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
God's River (Manto Sipi Cree Nation) is a remote First Nations community located at the mouth of God’s River, approximately 660 km northeast of Winnipeg, with access provided by Perimeter Aviation and Northway Air, offering daily flights to Thompson and Winnipeg. Our newly opened, state-of-the-art school facility debuted in April 2022 and includes modern features such as a new rink, gym, computer and science labs, technology areas, library, and kitchen—truly comprehensive! We provide competitive salaries along with a Northern Living Allowance and a $2500 Signing Bonus. Each educator is entitled to two paid round-trip flights to and from Winnipeg each school year.
