GSSD invites applications for the role of Indigenous Student Success Lead at Kamsack Comprehensive Institute. This position will focus on:
- Educational Leadership
- Building teacher capacity to enhance student engagement through culturally relevant teaching practices.
- Understanding the current educational programs and curricula, along with their connections across various subjects and grade levels.
- Accessing, sharing, and advocating for diverse instructional and assessment methods, resources, and technologies that support Indigenous students and traditional knowledge.
- Analyzing specific school assessment data to develop and suggest targeted strategies for improving Indigenous student performance.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of instruction and assessment, including professional development and learning communities.
- Supporting the transition of FNMI students from elementary to high school and from high school to post-secondary education or the workforce.
- Collaborating closely with the Indigenous Community Worker to celebrate and recognize cultural events within the school.

The ideal candidate will have the following leadership skills, knowledge, abilities, and educational qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Education
- Must possess or be eligible for a Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate

Experience and knowledge of:
- Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
- Working with Indigenous students and their families
- Collaborating with Elders
- A deep understanding of Indigenous Culture
- Awareness of community programs and various social, physical, and mental support services available in the community.

Salary & Benefits: As per the existing Saskatchewan Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is designated for qualified equity group members who self-declare in this online application, as detailed in the "diversity groups" section below.
