About This Role

Job Role

This position demands a significant level of professional responsibility to guarantee effective lesson preparation, precise evaluation of student development, and the ongoing provision of exceptional teaching and learning across Key Stages 3-5. The individual in this role will be tasked with upholding high academic standards, fostering examination readiness, and participating in school-wide duties in line with institutional policies and regulations.

Job Responsibilities


Design and deliver engaging Science lessons that are in line with the British Curriculum (preferably with a focus on Biology or Physics).


Tailor instruction to accommodate the diverse needs of all students while promoting inclusive practices.


Evaluate, monitor, and report on student development, utilizing data to enhance instructional strategies.


Ensure high standards of classroom management and prioritize student wellbeing.


Take part in curriculum development, enrichment activities, and initiatives related to STEM.


Work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain positive relationships with parents and the broader school community.

Qualifications & Experience


A Bachelor’s degree in Science (with a relevant specialization) and a recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE or equivalent).


A minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching Secondary Science in a British Curriculum school (experience in the UAE is a plus but not mandatory).


Strong expertise in the subject matter and a proven history of student success.


Exceptional communication, organizational, and classroom management abilities.


A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable



Experience instructing KS5 / A-Level courses.


Capability to lead extracurricular science clubs, competitions, or STEM initiatives.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
