O Castro British School is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Computer Science Teacher to join our dedicated team:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Design and deliver captivating lessons in Computer Science, covering topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, and systems architecture.
•
Instruct students from KS3 to KS5, preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations (e.g., AQA, OCR).
•
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate all learners, including those with SEND or EAL.
•
Regularly assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
•
Participate in curriculum development and the incorporation of new technologies.
•
Encourage participation in extracurricular computing activities, including coding clubs and competitions.
•
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
•
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
•
C1/C2 proficiency in English.
•
Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
•
Experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary school level.
•
Strong understanding of the British curriculum and associated exam boards.
•
Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS).
