We are seeking an enthusiastic educator to provide exceptional History instruction across Key Stages 3–5 within a British curriculum framework. This position emphasizes the development of critical thinking, historical inquiry, and strong academic performance. The successful candidate will actively engage in the academic, pastoral, and extracurricular aspects of school life while maintaining exemplary standards in teaching, learning, and student advancement.
Job Responsibilities
•
Design, prepare, and deliver stimulating and rigorous History lessons that align with the curriculum.
•
Create schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment strategies tailored to support differentiated learning and achievement for every student.
•
Evaluate, monitor, and track student progress, offering timely feedback and implementing interventions as necessary.
•
Encourage historical inquiry, analytical skills, and research abilities through diverse and innovative teaching methodologies.
•
Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and well-organized classroom atmosphere that fosters student well-being and active participation.
•
Participate in curriculum development, enrichment activities, educational trips, and school-wide initiatives.
•
Undertake pastoral duties as a form tutor, assisting students in their academic and personal growth.
•
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, phase leaders, and senior leadership to ensure cohesive delivery of the British curriculum.
•
Engage professionally with parents regarding their children's progress, achievements, and behavior.
•
Adhere to school policies, safeguarding protocols, and KHDA regulations.
Requirements
•
Bachelor’s degree in History (or a related field) and a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE or equivalent).
•
Demonstrated experience teaching History within the British curriculum (Key Stages 3–5).
•
Experience in the UAE or within an international school environment is preferred.
•
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational abilities.
•
Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
