Slated to open in the fall of 2026, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing will bring our esteemed curriculum to China's capital. Initially serving grades Kindergarten through 9, the school will expand to accommodate grades Pre-K through 12, with a total capacity for 2,300 students and boarding facilities for 800 students.

Situated on the north side of Anfu Street in Houshayu, Shunyi District, Beijing, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing is part of a key new urban development area that serves as a center for international education. Our Primary School educators employ a collaborative, co-teaching model that enhances student engagement and learning experiences. The Subject Expert Teacher (SET) leads the charge in delivering captivating, subject-oriented lessons, while the Learning Enhancement Teacher (LET) ensures that each student comprehends the material. Together, you will nurture a vibrant and challenging educational atmosphere that values hard work and results in outstanding student achievements.

As an English Language Arts Subject Expert Teacher, you will establish a robust foundation in language and social science competencies, addressing topics such as the writing process, grammar, reading comprehension, and literary and rhetorical devices. You will also work alongside colleagues to design interdisciplinary lessons that integrate other subjects, like drama or history.

Your responsibilities will include:

Who We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly regarded for Pre-K through Grade 5).
• Experience: A minimum of two years serving as the lead teacher in a classroom, a necessary requirement for securing a working visa.
• Collaboration: A team-oriented individual who is enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and learning from colleagues around the globe.
