About BASIS International School Shenzhen

Founded in 2015, BASIS International School Shenzhen is the inaugural school in our network. Originally situated in a renovated structure, the school moved to a stunning new campus in 2023, designed to accommodate over 1,600 students from Pre-K to Grade 12. As a Technology & Design teacher, your role will be to ignite and cultivate students' natural curiosity, introducing crucial concepts from kindergarten onward. You will delve into STEAM subjects such as coding, 3D modeling, robotics, electrical engineering, multimedia, and productivity. Your teaching will emphasize a designer's mindset to tackle real-world challenges, helping students make connections across disciplines and apply their knowledge in various situations. Collaborating with fellow educators will be essential as you weave ICT content into other subjects, including art and history.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong ICT-CS skills.
• A background in Technology/Design education is preferred, along with proficiency in block-based coding, 3D modeling software, robotics/electrical engineering, and productivity/multimedia tools.

Who We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly regarded for Pre-K through Grade 5).
• Experience: At least two years of experience as a lead teacher in a classroom, which is necessary for obtaining a working visa.
