Teacher of English - KS3, KS4 and KS5

Job Title

The objective is to inspire a love for literature and language by delivering engaging lessons throughout Key Stages 3–5, while supporting students in achieving exceptional academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•
Create and deliver captivating English lessons that align with the curriculum

•
Teach a range of literature and language topics, promoting critical analysis and creative expression

•
Assess, monitor, and track student achievement, providing timely and constructive feedback

•
Modify teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those for whom English is an additional language

•
Prepare students for both internal and external examinations

•
Participate in curriculum development and departmental projects

•
Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment in the classroom

•
Get involved in school events, offer pastoral care, and seek professional development opportunities

Job Qualifications

•
Bachelor’s degree in English or a related discipline

•
Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE / B.Ed. or equivalent)

•
Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level in a British curriculum school (preferably in the UAE)

•
Thorough understanding of GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level frameworks

•
Exceptional classroom management and communication skills

•
Commitment to safeguarding and enhancing student wellbeing
