Location: Dibden Park School, Southampton, SO45 5TD
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: Up to £45,352 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: May 2026

In this role, you will work with individuals and small groups, tailoring learning to align with each pupil’s strengths and challenges, fostering their confidence, independence, and success. Collaborating with a skilled multidisciplinary team, you’ll help cultivate an environment where every learner feels understood, supported, and motivated to excel.
What You’ll Do
As an SEN Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, personalized lessons in line with the school curriculum
- Monitoring, assessing, and celebrating student progress
- Developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans, behavior plans, and personalized learning pathways
- Creating a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
- Collaborating with support staff to provide high-quality teaching and learning
- Contributing to curriculum planning and whole-school development initiatives
- Organizing resources, classroom displays, and learning materials that enhance engagement
- Ensuring that all activities—both on-site and off-site—are meticulously planned with pupil safety and risk management in mind
Who We’re Looking For

- Trained at either the Primary or Secondary level (applications from both are encouraged)
