Grade 7 Teacher

Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation School invites applications for the role of Grade 7 Teacher for the academic year 2025-2026.

Applicants are required to:

• Hold a valid teaching certification
• Have attained a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Be eligible for a Saskatchewan Professional A or Provisional Professional A teaching certificate
• Follow the curriculum established by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education
• Commit to fulfilling the entire school year
• Encourage participation from students' families and community members in classroom initiatives
• Show respect for and possess a comprehensive understanding of Canada’s First Nations, with a readiness to incorporate First Nations culture, values, and history into lesson plans
• Set high academic expectations, especially in literacy and numeracy
• Demonstrate effective classroom management skills and utilize positive behavior management strategies
• Modify teaching methods and curriculum to support and include students with special needs as required.
