Location: Parkside House School, Backworth, NE27 0AB
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8:30am – 4:00pm
Salary: £39,000 per annum (not pro rata)

We are in search of a creative, thoughtful, and driven educator who will be integral to our school community. The ideal candidate will:

- Provide captivating lessons, demonstrating effective classroom and behavior management skills.

- Infuse creativity into the curriculum, offering experiences beyond standard classroom boundaries.
- Lead the English department, fostering high standards, developing resources, and endorsing best practices.

This fulfilling role is suited for someone who is calm, resilient, and devoted to making a significant impact. With QTS, you will help shape an inspiring curriculum while enhancing overall school improvement and student wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct and enhance the English program across the school with clear goals and measurable outcomes.
- Safeguard and uphold pupil welfare in accordance with statutory guidelines.
- Assist colleagues with English-related school improvement initiatives.
- Track student progress and maintain effective communication with parents/carers.
- Tailor teaching methods to accommodate individual student needs and foster engagement.

Knowledge and Understanding
- Strong grasp of the English curriculum and assessment standards.
- Awareness of effective teaching methodologies and high achievement benchmarks.
- Familiarity with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Commitment to the school’s mission and values.

Requirement
- UK QTS (or equivalent).
- Relevant English qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
