Grade 3 Teacher
Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School, situated in Big River First Nation, is in search of a dynamic and enthusiastic Grade 3 Teacher to become part of their team for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Crafting and executing lesson plans that cover a diverse range of subjects for students
• Assessing and grading students' understanding and performance regarding the material taught
• Engaging in discussions with students and parents about educational topics and concerns
• Fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe atmosphere that promotes effective learning
• Designing lesson plans and instructional strategies that align with school standards
• Administering assessments to evaluate student progress and pinpoint areas for improvement
• Cultivating an engaging learning environment tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
• Organizing and developing lesson plans and instructional resources through various activities such as quizzes, competitions, and group discussions
• Overseeing and guiding classroom behavior and activities
Requirements:
• Excellent scheduling capabilities
• Strong organizational skills
• Bachelor of Education degree along with a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
• Effective classroom management abilities
• Capacity to teach students with diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Curriculum
• Cross-Cultural experience is advantageous
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must be able to verify previous teaching experience, if applicable
