About this Role
York House School is seeking applications from empathetic, innovative, and qualified Intermediate Grade Teachers dedicated to delivering an outstanding 21st-century learning experience for our students. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellence in teaching and assessment practices, possess a genuine passion for education, and have a strong grasp of how girls learn most effectively. This individual will be responsible for teaching Grade 4 and will also have opportunities to engage in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that enrich students' school experiences.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education
- British Columbia Teaching Certification or equivalent
- Familiarity with the new BC Curriculum is advantageous
- Elementary/Intermediate school qualification
- Essential experience in teaching language arts, math, science, and social studies
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction and tailor teaching strategies to accommodate diverse student needs
- A minimum of three years of Elementary/Intermediate teaching experience
- Coaching and/or experience in extra-curricular activities is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Comprehensive understanding of the BC Curriculum
- Awareness of current research related to girls and learning
- Proven track record as an enthusiastic, innovative, and compassionate educator
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion in all its forms
- Collaborative, adaptable, supportive team player
- Ability to cultivate strong professional relationships with all stakeholders
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
- Dedication to educating the whole student
- Proven ability to effectively integrate technology to enhance learning
- Experience in differentiating instruction and assessment to meet individual student needs
- Familiarity with inquiry-based and project-based learning approaches
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience with online platforms such as Seesaw and Google Classroom

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
