About This Role

Do you view education and learning as a lifelong journey rather than merely a profession? Are you a ‘risk-taker’ who balances purposeful enthusiasm with a sense of humor? If your answer is yes, then St. Gilgen International School is eager to welcome a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Music (general/vocal) to play a vital role in the continued development of our exceptional school. This position is a 75% contract, with ample chances for extra private teaching and performance engagements in St. Gilgen and the wider Salzburg area. Alongside teaching responsibilities, this role includes coordination of the Instrumental Teaching Programme (ITP), which entails managing ITP lessons and provisions, with a small time allocation dedicated to this task (a comprehensive job overview can be provided upon request).

This position is being re-advertised; previous candidates who were not successful are invited to apply again if they remain interested.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding and creative educator with a deep enthusiasm for teaching Music across all age groups in the school. Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme would be particularly beneficial and highly regarded. Additionally, the successful applicant will be expected to engage in all areas of learning within our 24/7 boarding school setting, including co-curricular activities, student mentoring, and boarding house responsibilities; this may involve some commitments during evenings and weekends.

Founded in 2008, St. Gilgen International School (StGIS) is a co-educational day and boarding institution serving students aged 9 to 18. We are currently entering an exciting new phase, evolving from strong to even stronger together. If you aspire to be part of this journey and wish to work in a welcoming and purposeful environment that aims for HIGH STANDARDS in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, we invite you to review the attached details and submit your customized application as outlined.
