The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is an exceptional institution located in a prime area. We are an HMC school and were recently evaluated by a BSO (British Schools Overseas) inspection, receiving an outstanding rating across all categories, including educational quality, safeguarding, student welfare, and academic performance.

BSB is a large and widely favored school catering to children aged 3 to 18. Our curriculum adheres to the English National Curriculum, offering an extensive selection of GCSEs, A levels, BTEC, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, complemented by a robust enrichment program.

With over 2000 students from more than 74 nationalities, BSB employs more than 315 staff members. Our facilities are spread across three locations: two just outside Barcelona in Castelldefels, which features Primary, Secondary, and Pre-University campuses, and in the vibrant town of Sitges, home to another Primary campus. BSB City is situated in the heart of Barcelona, boasting a Foundation campus (established in September 2021) and a newly inaugurated main campus that opened in September 2023.

In September 2026, we plan to launch an additional campus for EYFS and Primary students in the Maresme area, north of Barcelona.

The expansion of the school has been supported by considerable investment in recent years, including the construction of a cutting-edge Pre-University Centre (Nexus), a full-sized 4G rugby and football pitch, specialized STEAM facilities, and the new BSB City and Maresme campuses.

We are currently seeking an experienced Secondary Business Teacher to become part of our outstanding team.

About the Role:
We are in search of two full-time, permanent Business teachers for our BSB City and Castelldefels campuses. Please indicate your preferred campus in your application.

We ideally seek candidates with a history of success in A level and/or IBDP and GCSE Business examinations. However, we are also open to applications from newly qualified teachers.

A dedication to participating in the broader school community and our enrichment program is part of the role's expectations.

As a teacher at BSB, you will be required to adhere to the guidelines established in the Cognita Teaching Toolkit. This includes defined expectations for planning, assessment, lesson delivery, and professional responsibilities. You will also contribute to achieving the school’s strategic objectives and carry out any reasonable requests made by the Headteacher and Principal.
