Vietnam-Australia School, Hanoi (VAS Hanoi) is a bilingual international institution that provides a dual curriculum encompassing the Vietnamese National Curriculum along with the Cambridge Pathway (Checkpoint Primary and Lower Secondary, IGCSE) and Australian Mathematics.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and professional ESL Teacher to become a part of our team. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized and cooperative educator, capable of managing teaching duties across various curricula while positively impacting the school community.

About the Role
VAS Hanoi invites applications for the position of an experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate English teacher to join our Primary Department. This role is offered as a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension.

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching Cambridge Grade 2 English and Science, as well as ESL for grades 1 and 5. This is a fantastic opportunity to aid in the ongoing development of our Cambridge pathways.

We are searching for a teacher who:

- Designs creative lesson plans and employs student-centered teaching methods.
- Is eager to participate in school events and community initiatives.
- Is open to engaging in professional development and embracing new educational technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Efficiently manage time to balance lesson preparation, assessments, and classroom duties.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, coordinate learning activities, and monitor student progress.
- Tailor instruction to accommodate diverse student needs.
- Track and evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments.
- Offer clear, constructive feedback to students and parents in both written and verbal formats.
- Maintain high standards for behavior and academic performance.
- Attend department meetings, engage in professional development, and participate in school events.
- Exhibit a flexible, proactive, and positive demeanor in a dynamic school setting.
- Adhere to safeguarding and child protection protocols at all times.

Requirements

- Native-level English speaker; candidates must demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE with QTS, Teaching License, or Bachelor of Education in Primary).
- At least 2 years of professional teaching experience (post-qualification).
- Familiarity with the Cambridge Curriculum.
- Experience with ESL learners is highly advantageous.
- Comfortable using technology, including Seesaw and Google Workspace (Google Docs, Slides, Drive, etc.).

Desirable

- Background in bilingual or international school environments.
- Basic knowledge of how AI tools can enhance teaching and learning.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Proficient with Seesaw and Google Workspace (Google Docs, Slides, Drive, etc.).

Salary & Benefits
