DP Geography & Business and MYP Geography Teacher
About This Role
Haut-Lac International Bilingual School, situated near Vevey (Vaud), Switzerland, is on the lookout for a qualified Geography and Business teacher to become part of the secondary school team starting in mid-August 2026.
We seek a passionate and dedicated educator with experience in international education who is eager to enhance the school’s vibrant extracurricular activities. As an IB World School, we appreciate teachers who are knowledgeable about the IB curriculum and resonate with its educational philosophy. Candidates proficient in both English and French, as well as those who can offer an additional humanities subject, will be prioritized.
Profile
· Bachelor’s degree in Geography or an equivalent qualification
· Secondary PGCE or teaching certification in Geography or Business
· Experience in teaching the IB MYP and DP programmes (preferred)
· Strong skills in utilizing educational technology (iPads, interactive whiteboards, etc.)
· A dedicated, student-focused educator who employs inclusive, diverse, and stimulating teaching methods
· Experience in a pastoral role (preferred)
· Native English speaker
· Working knowledge of French; higher proficiency is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
Instruct Geography in the MYP and DP programmes
Teach Business and Management in the DP programme
Actively engage in the school’s extracurricular activities
Participate in broader school events and community initiatives
