New Cairo British International School (NCBIS) is seeking an exceptional full-time Dutch Stream Class Teacher.

We proudly represent over 60 nationalities within our student body of 700, ranging from ages 3 to 18. Our demographic consists of 60% expatriates and 40% Egyptians, all of whom must possess dual nationality.

The Dutch School?

The Dutch Stream is one of the three departments at NCBIS, delivering bilingual (Dutch/English) primary education centered around the Dutch national curriculum. We collaborate closely with our colleagues in the British Primary and Secondary departments to create a cohesive and supportive educational atmosphere.

The Primary School?

In the primary school, we implement the conceptual outcomes of the English National Curriculum through a tailored program that values and celebrates our cultural diversity. The school is fully accredited by CIS and is a member of COBIS and BSME.

The Secondary School?

In the secondary school, students adhere to the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, utilizing the Pearson Progression Scale and GL Assessment (PTM/PTE/PTS) for evaluation.

At Key Stage 4, students take the Edexcel International GCSE exams in Year 11.

For Key Stage 5, we offer both the International A-Levels and the IB Diploma Programme as distinct pathways in Years 12 and 13.

Prospective candidates should:

- Demonstrate a commitment to 'Bringing out the best in everyone,' encompassing our entire community, particularly colleagues, students, and parents.
- Exhibit a passion for learning, supported by knowledge of current best practices.
- Understand the needs of students from multilingual backgrounds and hold UK or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- Have proven experience teaching at least IBDP and/or A Level (or be open to fully-funded overseas training).
- Show dedication and diligence, maintaining high expectations for themselves and the children they guide.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal abilities and a strong sense of camaraderie.
- Be capable of integrating ICT into their teaching practice.
- Bring humor, energy, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
