About This Role
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and deliver engaging, tailored Chemistry lessons for middle years students, promoting a robust understanding of scientific concepts.
· Establish and uphold a positive, inclusive, and safe laboratory setting that inspires curiosity, critical analysis, and academic excellence.
· Design and execute a variety of formative and summative assessments to track student progress, offering valuable, constructive feedback.
· Actively collaborate within the Science department to create curriculum resources, synchronize teaching methods, and foster a culture of collective excellence.
· Participate fully in the broader school community through events, parent-teacher meetings, and a dedication to ongoing professional development.
· Contribute to the school's co-curricular offerings by leading or supporting activities such as science clubs, academic competitions, or STEM programs.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline (Master’s degree is preferred).
· A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or an international equivalent).
· Demonstrated experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary school level.
· A strong academic foundation in Chemistry and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
· Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the capacity to articulate complex ideas clearly.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a diverse, multicultural educational environment.
· A demonstrated commitment to innovative teaching practices, student-centered learning, and ongoing professional development.
