As we expand in Southeast Asia, we are on the lookout for passionate candidates for the Principal position within our Invictus International Schools in the region.

Roles and Responsibilities
Management Functions:

In General:


Serve as the Head and an integral member of the school’s management team.


Provide leadership in overseeing the daily operations of the school.


Guide the entire school in steadily increasing enrollment to reach full capacity.


Coordinate with Invictus’ Academic and Examinations Board (where applicable) regarding teaching and learning activities to ensure alignment with the curriculum and ethos of Invictus.


Manage staffing at the school to ensure teaching standards and methods are consistent with those set by the Academic and Examinations Board.


Collaborate with the Senior Vice President on:

- The school’s budgeting process and execution of approved budgets.

- School administrative processes as outlined in Invictus’ Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), which covers admissions, student contracts, record-keeping, etc.

- Take necessary measures to ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations and Invictus standard operating procedures (SOPs).

1. Strategic Planning


Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate educational initiatives and school directions using data-driven approaches.


Lead the ongoing development of the school while staying true to its vision and values, assisting students and staff in realizing their potential.

2. Leadership – School Development


Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all educational programs based on research-informed practices and the necessary support resources.


Formulate the educational aims and objectives of the school and create strategies to achieve them.


Develop and coordinate the school plan and policies for approval by the Academic Board, Examination Board (if applicable), and Board of Management.


Mentor school staff and guide them in fulfilling the school’s aims, objectives, and plans.

3. Teaching & Learning


Create a school environment conducive to learning and high achievement for all students.


Design and offer suitable learning and curriculum programs and instructional methods that cater to the needs of all students and develop appropriate timetables.


Promote effective teaching and learning practices throughout the school.


Establish school curriculum and assessment policies.


Implement systems for tracking individual student progress and ensure regular communication with parents regarding their children’s progress.


Monitor and assess teaching and learning across the school and develop improvement plans as necessary.

4. Management – People & Teams


Recruit high-caliber teachers and staff in a collaborative, empowering environment that encourages continuous professional learning through mentoring and regular feedback.


Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.


Treat all staff with respect and cultivate positive interactions.


Encourage a harmonious working atmosphere.

5. Stakeholder & Community Engagement


Lead the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of stakeholder and community engagement initiatives that leverage technology and social media with systematic communication.


Build strong partnerships with parents/guardians; communicate clearly, keeping the child and organization in focus.


Maintain effective communication systems with students, staff, parents, and colleagues.


Implement school policies with a clear understanding of their rationale.

6. School Management & Operations


Guide the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies, systems, and processes that clarify roles and responsibilities, uphold corporate governance in HR and finance, ensure responsive marketing, smooth admissions, and utilize technology in learning and administration.


Manage the daily operations of the school, including planning and overseeing the daily class schedule.


Foster a collaborative, safe-fail learning culture that encourages strong teacher-student relationships, lifelong learning skills, and entrepreneurial mindsets.


Carry out routine correspondence, and prepare reports and information as required by the Board of Management.


Manage and organize any external examinations as necessary.

7. Self-Awareness and Self-Management


Set a strong standard for professional interactions and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.


Recognize your own skill set and be open to seeking help and advice when needed.


Consistently uphold professional integrity, including discretion, confidentiality, loyalty, and trust.

Requirements


A minimum of 8-10 years of leadership experience in a related field.


A Bachelor’s degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent, along with postgraduate training in education.


Recognized training or experience in School Leadership.


A higher degree or recognized professional qualification is preferred, along with evidence of ongoing relevant professional development.


PGDE and/or PGCE is preferred.


A Teacher’s License (NIE certification) is preferable.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
