About This Role

PE plays a crucial role in the educational journey of young individuals, providing opportunities to embrace a healthy lifestyle and comprehend its effects on themselves and those around them. It offers a platform for students to explore and enjoy new activities, as well as to shine in competitive sports.

We are excited to announce an opening for a PE teacher at Liphook, a school renowned both locally and nationally for its commitment to sporting excellence, including national championships in hockey and basketball.

Alongside a supportive team and enthusiastic, engaged students, we boast exceptional facilities, including three Sports Halls, a sand-based astro turf, a state-of-the-art 3G astro pitch, expansive fields, and hard courts for tennis and netball, in addition to a wide range of co-curricular activities and fixtures.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach PE with dance or drama as a secondary subject. We value ambitious and inspiring educators with robust subject knowledge to join our team. We aim to recruit an individual who is either an outstanding practitioner or has the potential to become one, possessing the skills, attributes, and passion necessary to cultivate a love for learning.

Are you capable of:

  • Inspiring and innovating?
  • Nurturing and developing both yourself and others?
  • Committing to and enhancing high achievement and motivation?
  • Optimizing learning for every student?

We encourage applications from those with potential as well as experience, including ITT candidates. Here are several compelling reasons to consider joining our team:

  • Our greatest asset is our people, and we strive to ensure you feel valued. Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do—we offer dedicated wellbeing days for staff and successfully trialed a two-week autumn break two years ago during our busiest period.
  • Our students are outstanding—bright, curious, respectful, and hardworking. They create an environment where you can thrive and reach your potential, alongside helping them reach theirs.
  • Additionally, we host occasional Leadership breakfasts to express our gratitude, along with end-of-term events, Easter Eggs, advent calendars, and summer BBQs. Staff wellbeing is fundamental to our ethos, and we want you to recognize that our efforts are driven by our appreciation for you.
  • Effective lesson planning is vital, and collaboration makes it easier. We have allocated hours for co-planning, allowing you to enjoy and exchange best practices and resources.
