About the Role:

Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an inspiring Teacher of Mathematics to take a leading role in delivering a world-class mathematics curriculum for the Senior School, commencing August 2026. This is a significant opportunity to enhance and advance the college's mathematics program as Brighton College (Singapore) transitions from a distinguished Prep School to one of the top all-through schools in the region, serving students from Pre-Nursery to Year 13.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee the teaching, progress, and achievement of all students in Years 7 to 13.
  • Lead all aspects of curriculum planning and implementation.
  • Encourage excellence, creativity, and innovation throughout the mathematics curriculum.
  • Show a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Manage all facets of assessment, tracking, and reporting for mathematics within your classes.
  • Demonstrate the experience and capability to teach mathematics across all relevant Key Stages, including IGCSE/GCSE and A-level.
  • Serve as an exemplary classroom practitioner, leading by example.
  • Create and implement comprehensive self-evaluation processes.
  • Participate in the department’s extension and enrichment initiatives.
  • Show the experience required to guide students in their future applications to prestigious universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, and other top-tier institutions.
  • Ensure students have opportunities to prepare for and participate in global mathematics competitions, providing necessary challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Maths, Heads of EAL, and AEN to develop support pathways for students in your classes.
  • Work with the Head of Maths and middle and senior leaders in the Prep School to ensure a smooth transition in Mathematics from Year 6 to Year 7.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of the required KS3/4/5 curriculum and departmental documentation for current and prospective parents. Serve as Exams Officer for Prep and early Senior cohorts.
  • Contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and to the school’s pastoral system by acting as a tutor for a Senior School year group.
  • Engage in the co-curricular activities of the school.
  • Fulfill any other reasonable management requests that support the school’s mission, vision, and values.
