Curriculum Overview

Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, thoughtfully customized to reflect Qatar's culture, heritage, and values. This curriculum guarantees a smooth educational progression from Early Years through Sixth Form, prioritizing academic excellence, robust pastoral care, and personal growth.

Throughout every educational phase, the DBS curriculum is designed to be relevant, engaging, and challenging, blending academic rigor with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess:


A recognized educational qualification, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent credential.


A valid teaching certificate, such as a PGCE or QTS, accompanied by an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be corroborated by a relevant subject bachelor’s degree).


Exceptional subject knowledge, with substantial experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.


Experience in instructing International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level courses.


A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning experiences.


A strong commitment to engaging with the wider school community through extracurricular initiatives.
