About This Role

Secondary Mathematics Teacher (m/f/d)

St. George’s the British International School, Munich, Germany

As part of our ongoing growth, St. George's School is seeking a highly skilled Mathematics teacher to join our secondary education team, starting in August 2026.

The School

Founded in September 2013, St. George’s School Munich has rapidly developed into a thriving community with over 800 students and 100 educators. Our educational philosophy integrates a comprehensive curriculum with a nurturing, family-friendly environment, creating a welcoming space for both staff and students alike.

In September 2017, we embarked on an exciting new phase with our move to a modern, purpose-built campus in the city. This facility offers outstanding educational resources across all ages and subjects.

We implement the National Curriculum throughout the school and provide IGCSE qualifications for our Upper School students. Sixth Form students are actively preparing for the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

As part of a network of three schools in Germany, St. George’s offers the successful applicant a variety of opportunities for professional growth and development within the school group.

The Location

Our new campus is located in the Schwabing-Freimann district, just north of the city center. This area enjoys excellent access to the U6 metro line and the A9 motorway.

Munich, the capital of Bavaria and the third-largest city in Germany, serves as a vibrant cultural center with a large, diverse international community. Situated at the northern foothills of the Alps, Munich offers an excellent quality of life along with numerous travel and outdoor activities.

The school is 30 km from Munich Airport, which provides multiple daily flights to the UK, and high-speed rail connections link the city to various European destinations.

The Role

We are in search of a qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our secondary teaching staff. The successful candidate will instruct students in iGCSE and IBDP.

We are looking for an enthusiastic educator with a successful track record of helping students achieve their potential. The ideal applicant will combine experience, passion, and a love for teaching that inspires our students.

The secondary department serves students aged 11-18 and covers the Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IB Diploma curricula. A strong understanding of the British education system is required. While experience with IB teaching is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement.

The Mathematics Faculty encourages a love for learning mathematics and highlights its importance in everyday life.

Given the dynamic nature of our school, adaptability and a readiness to support colleagues are essential. A strong commitment to enhancing the school’s pastoral care and extracurricular programs will also be valuable.
